Organic Melon "Amadama"

The "Amadama" organic melon is certified as "Organic JAS" by the Govt. of Japan. Despite being grown organically, this juicy melon is as sweet and aromatic as the non-organic musk melons, and even more delicious than the melons sold in ordinary supermarkets.

The organic "Amadama" melon is pollinated by live bees and the farmer uses a luxurious cultivation method where only one fruit is grown on one tree, to ensure that all the nutrients in the tree are absorbed into one fruit.

FARM FACT: Rui Farm is located in the Nara Prefecture.
The farm is committed to grow healthy vegetables and fruits using methods that coexist with nature, such as organic cultivation. Growing fruit organically with beautifully and deliciously is extremely difficult. Therefore, many other farmers use repellant or fertilizers to prevent bugs and diseases, and sometimes they even feed chemicals on the soil to artificially sweeten the fruit. However, Rui Farm makes organic farming possible with their special farming methods, original organic fertilizers, and with practicing meticulous cultivation management.

Rui Farm also believes that organic agriculture is not just only about producing delicious and safe crops for human consumption, but also about reducing the burden on the environment as much as possible through agricultural production and valuing harmony with diverse and living creatures. They strive daily to cultivate melons with this mindset.
