Niitaka pears are large and the flesh is sweet, juicy and aromatic. The flesh has a crisp texture and low acidity making it enjoyable to eat fresh. Niitaka pears have longer shelf life than other pears and can be stored for several weeks under the right storage conditions.

FARM FACT: The Pear Farm is located in the Niigata prefecture, a city blessed with both fertile soil and clean water. The farm boasts more than 100 years of pear farming history and experience. The farmer uses organic fertilizers and microorganisms to improve the soil condition, and DOES NOT use any chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
