Premium Grade Nikkori Pear

The Big Pear variety from Tochigi Prefecture is one of the finest varieties of pears in Japan. Nikkori Pear is characterized by its large size and is also known for its distinctive flavor and texture. These pears weigh almost 1kg and can be stored for several weeks under the right storage conditions.

FARM FACT: The 3rd generation Pear Farm is located in the Tochigi Prefecture and the farmer uses minimal chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The farm received a letter of appreciation from the former Emperor of Japan for their pear’s fine quality. The harvested pears are stored and matured under the optimal storage condition in a special Oya Stone cellar.
